高校校史馆和高校档案馆一样,是高校文化传承与弘扬的基地,其容纳并展示着高校发展与变迁过程中的点点滴滴。校史馆内容及表现形式的多样性、生动性、原始性、直观性、开放性等特点决定了其不可替代的记录、宣传、激励教育、借鉴、艺术熏陶等功能。作为高校的重要宣传窗口,校史馆的投入、设计与建设、馆藏内容的丰富、办展方式、宣传方式、数字化建设等工作的完善是当前高校校史馆工作者和档案工作者的重要使命之一。
