大学英语教师职业倦怠现状调查分析与应对

The Investigation and Analysis and Countermeasures to Cope with the Job Burnout of College English Teachers in the Current Situation

教师职业倦怠是指教师应对工作压力时表现出的一种负面迁移和衰减现象,是身心疲劳与耗竭的状态。大学英语教师是高校教师队伍中不容忽视的一个重要群体,其职业倦怠问题会对高校英语教学质量提高产生一定的副作用。通过设计调查问卷,对陕西省9所普通高校大学英语教师进行了调查,并对调查结果进行了定量分析。结果表明:大学英语教师职业倦怠较为明显,学历、职称和教龄与职业倦怠不存在显著相关性。同时,对大学英语教师职业倦怠产生的根源进行了调查分析,提出了从宏观和微观两大层面预防和应对英语教师职业倦怠的措施。

There is a phenomenon of a negative transference and decline or a situation of the physical and mental exhaustion and depletion when teachers deal with their job pressure,which is called the job burnout of the teachers. College English teachers belong to an essential group of the teaching staff in colleges and universities,whose job burnout will cause a side-effect to the English teaching quality. In this paper,the current situation of college English teachers is investigated through questionnaire in nine regular institutions of high learning in Shaanxi Province and a quantitative analysis is conducted on the basis of the results from the investi-gation.The results show that the job burnout of college English teachers is comparatively evident and there is not any remarkable correlation between the education background,the title of a technical post and years spent teaching and the job burnout. Meanwhile, the reasons to cause the job burnout of college English teachers are also investigated and further probed and the countermeasures against the job burnout are put forward from a macro-perspective and micro-perspective.
