Economic transformation and integration development policy of the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration

在经过二十多年的高速发展后,珠三角城市群的经济发展面临着生产成本持续上升、环境约束和国外需求疲软等多重压力。厘清珠三角城市群近年来的经济发展概况和特点,结果表明,珠三角城市群经济结构调整已成效初显,产业结构不断优化,但中心城市、次级城市与外围城市的经济发展仍存在较大差距。经济结构转型升级和区域一体化发展战略的实施是珠三角地区突破瓶颈和实现经济社会可持续发展的必由之路。

After 20 years＇ high-speed development, the economy development of the Pearl River Delta city group is facing obstacles of production cost rising, environmental constraints and week external demand recently. Through statistical analysis and comparative analysis, this thesis displays the general situation and characteristics of economic development of the Pearl River Delta city group. It shows that the effect of economic restructuring is obvious. However, the great differences between central, secondary and outer-ring cities exist. The development strategies of economic restructuring and regional integration are necessary for realizing sustainable development ofthe Pearl River Delta area.
