节日是一种民俗文化,是艺术,古人多些祭祀与信仰,现代人则偏向实际与科学,但亦含有信仰的成分。本文介绍了与水稻、大米有关的一些节日及相关信仰和祭祀活动,包括我国的粽子和端午节、青团子和清明节、汤圆和元宵节,插秧节、收获节,以及少数民族的其他祭祀节日等,也对世界上其他一些国家,如日本的稻荷神社、徐福神社等的祭祀和信仰,美国路易斯安那Crowley的国际水稻节等进行了介绍。
