摘要
外语课本中的性别歧视是外语教学研究的重要目标之一。作为向学生传递知识的主要渠道,课本的内容和组织形式都对学生有着直接的影响。本文用语料库方法对两套大学英语教材中性别代词的使用频率进行研究,发现两套教材中男性代词的使用频率高于女性并且差异显著,这一结果体现了教材对女性的忽略。
In the field of foreign Language teaching,sexism in textbooks is one of the prime research targets.As the main channel to convey knowledge to students,contents and forms of textbooks have direct effect on them.This research makes use of The Pedagogic Colen Corpus and the related instruments to study the frequency of generic pronouns in two sets of textbooks.The findings reveal that the differences between masculine generic pronouns and female pronouns are significant respectively,which shows that the female are invisible in textbooks.
