英汉学术著作前言中的互动元话语对比分析

A Contrastive Analysis of Interactional Metadiscourse in Prefaces of English and Chinese Academic Works

前言是学术著作非常重要的组成部分,一篇前言的好坏往往可能影响读者对作者及整个作品的印象,它是作者与读者进行交流互动的开始。本文拟选取英汉学术著作前言各10篇作为语料基于Hyland对互动元话语的分类,对其中的互动元话语进行对比研究,并探讨英汉学术著作前言互动元话语使用的异同,作用及产生异同的原因,旨在期望对指导学术著作前言的写作能有所帮助。

Preface is of great importance in an academic work, which often influences readers＇ impression on the author and the whole work. It is the beginning that writer interacts and communicates with readers in an academic work. In this thesis, in light of Hyland＇ s interactional metadiscourse classification, a contrastive study is given to ten respective prefaces of Chinese and English academic works to explore similarities and differences in the use of interactional metadiscourse between these two kinds of prefaces. Furthermore, the function of interactional metadiscourse in preface and the reasons for those similarities and differences will also be discussed in detail. And this thesis aims to do some help in instructing preface writing of academic work.
