Li Qiang,Li Bin and Li Jiqiang published the paper named "A New Study on Traditional View on Textile Machinery Invention during the Period of British Industrial Revolution"in the Journal of Silk in 2014. They believed that the water frame of Richard Arkwright had 3 roller drawing mechanisms and designed their motion mechanism.For the 3 roller drawing mechanisms,based on the explanation of Arkwright in 1769 and the research on history of technology,the paper holds that the spinning machine adopted 4 pairs of roller drawing mechanisms,and the motion mechanism was driven by the gear train,instead of the form including bevel gear which was designed by Li Qiang et al.
