Difference and Relationship Research on Diffusion-Weighted Imaging of the Normal Adult Pelvis Bone Marrow Between Ages and Gender

摘要 目的 探讨健康成人骨盆骨髓扩散加权成像(DWI)性别、年龄间差异及相关性。方法 回顾性分析230名健康成人骨盆DWI检查资料。将骨盆骨髓扩散信号分为3大型并测量ADC值,分析骨盆骨髓扩散分型及ADC值年龄、性别间差异及相关性。结果 男性30岁前后、女性50岁前后骨盆扩散分型变化明显,20-50岁间男女骨盆扩散分型差异明显,50岁以后差异不显著。20-50岁间,女性髂骨、坐骨ADC值高于男性,50岁以后女性耻骨ADC值高于男性,且骨盆扩散信号、ADC值与年龄存在一定负相关。结论 骨盆DWI可用来反映骨髓年龄、性别间差异。 Objective To discuss the difference and relationship of the patterns on diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) of the normal adult pelvis bone marrow between ages and gender. Methods A total of 230 healthy subjects who underwent diffusion-weighted imaging using spin-echo planar imaging with b = 0, 500 s/ 2 mm were retrospectively analyzed. All subjects were divided into five groups based on ages. The pelvis bone marrow DWI patterns were performed based on the signal intensity distribution characteristics, with normal pelvis bone marrow divided into three types. ADC values of ilium, ischium and pubis were then measured and the difference of DWI patterns and ADC values between ages and genders were analyzed. Results The DWI signal intensity of the male pelvis bone marrow had significant difference in males aged around 30 and in females around 50. The DWI patterns of pelvis bone marrow were different in gender between 20 to 50 years old while there was no significant difference in gender after 50 years old. The ADC values of the females was greater than that of the males excepting pubis at the age between 20 to 50 while the ADC values of the females were greater than that of the males in the pubis after the age of 50. There was negative correlation between the patterns on DWI, the ADC values of pelvis bone marrow and ages. Conclusion Familiarity with the diffusion-weighted imaging patterns and ADC values of normal age-related pelvic changes in different ages and gender will aid in the diagnosis of pelvic pathology.
