社会文化理论视阈下的航海类专业英语教学

English Teaching for Navigation Majors Based on the Framework of Sociocultural Theory

摘要 随着全球化的发展,我国航海类专业大学生教育面临的国际化挑战日益突出.提高航海类专业英语教学质量,培养符合国际标准的航运人才成为重点.由Vygotsky等人提出的社会文化理论为航海类英语教学提供了理论依据,能够帮助我们理解教师在课堂中的中介作用.作为中介者的教师以语言、教材、辅助教具等为中介工具调节学生的行为,培养学生的学习策略,激发学生的学习动机,从而提高学生的认知水平,达到教学目的. With the development of globalization, navigation majors in China are facing more and more global challenges. It is crucial to improve English teaching quality for navigation majors to make them competent for maritime industry. Sociocultural Theory proposed by Vygotsky provides a theoretical foundation for navigation English teaching and can help understand the intermediary role of teachers. As mediators, teachers can monitor students' behaviors, train students' learning strategies, activate their learning motivation through mediation tools such as language, textbooks and some auxiliary means, thus enhancing students' cognitive level and achieving the teaching objectives.
