Use Axis to Shape Spatial Order of the Irregular Plot:The Design of Chengdu “Beishang Plaza”

in this paper,we introduce the basic situation and the challenges of ＂Beishang Plaza＂ in Chengdu.We put forward that the much irregular plot is a very important problem should be faced.In order to shape the new spatial order,we put forward that we should use axis system.Beginning from the site geometry properties and the relationship to the road nearby,the whole site was divided into several small regular prats.Based on this,using different measures of axis to establish a reasonable axis system and form some nodes.Under the control of the axis system and the nodes,the buildings and the landscape nodes were placed.In the way,the spatial order fitted with the site was shaped.We also describe the process of reflection and analysis.Finally we introduce the idea of space and landscape in the layout design scheme.
