摘要
江南制造局翻译馆翻译了200余种著作,涉及数学、天文学、物理、化学、地学、医学、农学,以及机械、工艺、矿冶、军事、航海等众多领域,对中国科学技术的近代化做出较大的贡献。学界对于江南制造局译著底本的研究有较丰富的成果,但仍有数十种未得到解决。文章通过对译著和西文原著的比对,考证或补正出30种江南制造局译著的底本来源。
More than 200 western books were translated by the translators of the Translation Department at the Kiangnan Arsenal. These covered many disciplines,such as mathematics,astronomy,physics,chemistry,geology,geography,medicine,agriculture,engineering,arts and manufactures,mineral and mining,naval and military science,and so on. These translated works played an important role in the modernization of China＇s science and technology. Although there has been much research on the original versions used for these translations,especially those translated by John Fryer,the sources of about 60 books have not been resolved. After comparing the translated versions with original versions,this article newly reveals 30 original versions.
