A Summary of Centenary Studies on Literary Families in Liao Dynasty

在辽朝统治者积极吸收汉文化的背景下,文学家族陆续出现。在地理分布上,辽代文学家族分布广泛而相对集中。从时间分布来看,其绝大部分出现在辽代中后期,前期较为少见。在族属分布上,辽代文学家族只出现在契丹族和汉族这两个主体民族里。辽代的文学家族还与科举制度的兴衰有着极为密切的联系。辽代文学家族的出现,在我国文学史上有着重要的意义。

In the background of the Liao rulers＇ vigor of absorbing Han culture,literary families sprouted in succession. Geographically,these families distributed broadly though relatively concentrated. Most of them appeared in the middle and later periods of the Liao Dynasty,a few in the early period. Ethnically,they only appeared in the two main nations of Qidan and Han. The Liao literary families had a lot to do with the rise and fall of the Imperial Examination system. The emergence of Liao literary families is of great significance in the history of Chinese literature.
