扬州新出土明代严世茂墓志考释

Explanation of the Newly Unearthed Epitaph of Yan Shimao in the Ming Dynasty in Yangzhou

2016年3月,扬州市杨庙镇杨庙村出土一合明代墓志,墓主人为明代扬州有一定名望的地主乡绅。通过对志文内容释读,可以了解志主的家庭状况、品行等。撰写墓志的赵鹤等人均为明代扬州本地有名望的文官。严氏墓志的发现为研究明代扬州地区明代社会状况提供了难得的文字资料。

In March 2016, an epitaph in a tomb of the Ming Dynasty was unearthed in Yangmiao Village, Yangmiao Town, Yangzhou, whose owner was a local famous squire in Yangzhou. The interpretation of the epitaph told the owner＇ s family and character. Mr. Zhao He and other persons were all well-known local officials in Yangzhon in the Ming Dynasty. The discovery of Yan＇ s Epitaph provides the valuable literal evidence for the research of social conditions in the Ming Dynasty.
