Analysis of the Design Principles of TEM-8 Writing Test

本文以1996-2015年英语专业八级考试(TEM-8)写作试题为研究对象,通过真实性、交互性、开放性和信息提示量四个方面对其设计原则进行历时分析,旨在检测TEM-8写作试题的命题质量,并为其以后的试题命制提供一些建议。研究结果表明:TEM-8写作试题设计真实性较高,开放性适度,提示信息量适中,但是部分试题交互性较弱。

This paper analyzes the design principles of TEM-8 writing test items diachronically from 1996 to 2015 in terms of four aspects＂ authenticity,interactiveness,openness and information adequacy of test rubrics,aiming at examining the quality of these items and providing some suggestions for the design of future TEM-8 writing test.The findings reveal that TEM-8 writing test items have appropriate openness and high authenticity,and the rubrics contain adequate information,but the degree of interactiveness of some test items is comparatively low.
