摘要
"七君子事件"是中国近代史上的一件大事。据章乃器先生前妻胡子婴女士回忆,在事件的解决过程中,《大公报》主笔张季鸾曾致信蒋介石,起到了关键作用。此说经《文史资料选辑》发表后,三十年来流传甚广。但通过笔者对台北"国史馆"藏"蒋介石档案"中相关材料及同时期《大公报》言论的研究后发现,张在事件过程中所起到的作用,似并非如胡文所述,而是表现出了与陈布雷、叶楚伧等人一样的"诱降"倾向。
The ＂Seven Gentlemen event＂ is a major event in modern Chinese history. According to Mr. Chang Nai--chi＇s Ex-wife, Ms. Hu Ziying＇ s recall, during this incident, Chang Chi--luan, the Editor in chief of the ＂Ta Kung Pao＂, wrote a Letter to Chiang Kai-shek, which helped a lot to solve the problem. During 30 years, people all believe in her said. But through the study of the Chiang Kai-shek＇s documents from the ＂Academia Historica＂ of Taipei, this said seemed to be wrong.
