Dak Transportation Cause of Anhui Province during the Anti-Japanese War: A Study Centred on Anhui Dak Transportation Weekly

抗战期间,安徽省境敌我参半,原有的机力运输设备及交通线站为日伪占据或破坏,皖省及国内过境军需民用物资之运输与公文的递送均严重受阻。遵照国民党中央复兴驿运以利抗战之命令,安徽省府于1940年起,积极筹建驿运机构、开辟驿线、设置驿站、开展驿运业务,几经五年的艰难营运,为夺取抗战的胜利作出了重要的贡献。

During the Anti-Japanese War, the original mechanical transporting devices and the traffic lines in Anhui province were occupied or damaged by the Japanese Army, seriously affected the transport of military materials, civilian commodity and the delivery of official documents around Anhui and even all over the country. In accordance with the directive of central government, the Anhui provincial government renewed the ancient dak transportation in 1940, actively establishing institutions, opening up routes, setting up daks and developing transport business, making an important contribution to winning the Anti-Japanese War.
