改革开放以后,党重新思考社会主义初级阶段的主要矛盾问题,明确了人民日益增长的物质文化需要和落后的社会生产之间的矛盾是初级阶段的主要矛盾,并逐步在理论和实践上走向深入。党的十八大明确指出人民日益增长的物质文化需要同落后的社会生产之间的矛盾这一社会主要矛盾没有变。在经济社会发展新常态下,矛盾双方在表现形式和实现手段等具体方面呈现出了新的特征。

From Chinese reform and opening-up, the CPC reconsidered the problem of principal contradiction in the primary stage of socialism, and defined that the contradiction between people＇s growing material and cultural needs and the backward social production is the principal contradiction of the primary stage of socialism, and deepening gradually in theory and practice. The Eighteenth National Congress of the CCP clearly pointed out that the principal contradiction in the primary stage of socialism has not changed. In the new normal economic and social development, the two sides of the principal contradiction present some new features in the concrete form and the movement mode, but also face new challenges.
