随着中国文化"走出去"的需要,中国的典籍翻译越来越受到重视。符号学作为解释力强大的交叉学科,对典籍翻译具有强大的阐释力。遵循拟像性原则有助于在翻译过程中保持原文显性和隐形的特征,在形式相异时也能显现原诗的风格和神韵。

With the development of China national strength and stepping-out strategy of Chinese culture,the translation of Chinese classics has been paid more and more attention. As an interdisciplinary subject, semiotics can explain the phenomenon of Chinese classics translation fully. It studies and analyzes the roles of iconic symbols in Chinese classics translation. Based on a case study, the paper presents the power of iconic symbols in Chinese classics translation.
