摘要
本研究以Martin评价范畴中的介入子系统为理论框架,参考了Hyland对评价性that的研究,比较分析BNCweb学术子库下社会科学和自然科学学术语篇中"V+that-clause小句评价型式"的介入特征。通过对两大学科学术语篇中使用"V+that-clause介入型式"的源头、行为、方式和立场及其在补语结构中位置的研究,揭示出两类学术作者群体在"作者-读者"对话中进行观点介入时所呈现出的不同语言特征。
With reference to Martin's engagement in his Appraisal Theory and Hyland's study of the evaluative'that',this paper makes a contrastive study of the engagement pattern 'V + thatclause'in academic discourses of BNCweb.Through the contrasts and analyses on its source,act,manner and stance and its role/position in the complement structure,the paper reveals the way these two different academic communities organize their discourses and finds similarities and differences when these two communities engage some voice into a'writer-reader'discourse.
