Some Important Issues on Setting up the Subject of Chinese Political Science——An Introduction to Contemporary Politics

从学科分类和知识结构来讲,既有的政治学就是西方政治学,其主要缺陷和弊端在于缺乏前提和自欺欺人,因此,有必要建立更具合理性、普遍性、现实性和解释力的"中国政治学"。"中国政治学"就是当今政治的理论形态,其学科的基本结构包括三个主要方面。其一,政治特性的本体形态就是设计、形成和运作"公共利益"的过程;其二,政治功能的目标旨向在于争取能够获得权力的多数;其三,政治机制的转换连接就是不同领域或方面的利益平衡和关系处理。

From the perspective of discipline category and knowledge structure, the subjects of politics largely refers to western political science, which fails to provide a theoretical framework for China＇s practical political condition due to its limitations and self- deception. Therefore it is necessary to set up a subject of ＂Chinese political science＂ which is rational, universal, practical and explanatory. ＂Chinese political science＂ provides a theoretical framework in politics of contemporary China and includes three major aspects. Firstly, the fundamental form that reflects the essence of politics is planning, forming and pursuing public interests. Secondly, the political function aims at the access to the majority＇s power. Thirdly, the transformation of political mechanism relies on the equilibrium of interests among different fields and sectors with the management of social relations.
