Chemical gardens are usually refers to the structure formed metal silicate solution with plant-like forms.Their growth is influenced by osmosis,buoyancy and reaction-diffusion processes. These complex self-organized structures far from equilibrium are attracting nowadays increasing interest with chemistry,physics,nonlinear dynamics and materials science. Experimental study,materials characterization and application of chemical gardens would be a brief introduction of chemical garden,and the research focus and future research trends were summarized and discussed.
