Translation： A Multidisciplinary Approach is compiled by Juliane House,the well-known professor in Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies,University of Hamburg. It includes 12 papers of translation studies by researchers from Great Britain（ Mona Baker,H. G. Widdowson, Ian Mason）,Germany（ Juliane House）,Hong Kong,China（ Martha P. Y. Cheung）,and so on. This collection of papers focuses on the different approaches to translation studies,introducing translation theories and research methods. Though providing us with comprehensive research findings,the collected papers display inconsistency in methods or ideas,which is a sign of thriving academics.
