In the novel The Eye of the Storm,Patrick White employs internal focalization to set up the main frame of narration. With the interspersed zero focalization and external focalization, he constructs the multi-level and multi-angle narration system. Three kinds of narrative patterns complement each other to advance the process of narration so that narrators in different positions could express their feeling and thoughts, thus profoundly convey the characters ＇ inner emotion and consciousness flow.
