许麟庐是我国当代著名国画家、书法家、书画鉴赏家。早年曾师从著名画家溥心畲,是齐白石老人的嫡传弟子。许麟庐是一位执著的艺术家,在60多年的艺术生涯中,形成了独特的大家风采。他师从齐白石先生,牢记恩师＂学我者生,似我者亡＂的教诲,

XU Linlu,also called Delin,was born on Oct.19,1916 in Penglai,Yantai,Shandong.He followed his family tradition of learning from his early years and loved reading and painting.In 1934 he graduated from Tianjin Business School and in 23 made good friends despite great age difference with PU Xinshe,a well-known painter,under the guidance for years of whom his talents were given full play.In 1945 he took QI Baishi as his teacher and followed him for 13 years and learned his true essence.He took an active part in social activities for public interest and did good deeds with his heart of great love.As long as it was conducive to society and others,he would dedicate himself without shirking his responsibilities.His chivalrous deeds to encourage talents and help others left many good stories in Beijing.Many calligraphers and painters in Yantai also luckily benefited from his teaching and support.
