信息技术压力对工作结果的影响:工作疲劳的中介作用 被引量:10

Information Technology as Stressors to Work-Related-Outcome:A Mediating Role of Work-Exhaustion

摘要 信息技术发展在提高工作效率的同时,使员工产生心理和行为的不适应感,影响工作结果。本研究在"压力源-压力-结果"模型的基础上,构建了技术与工作压力源对工作结果影响机制的理论模型,探讨技术压力与工作压力的关系和技术压力对工作结果的影响机制。对341位工作人员的调查结果表明:技术压力源导致技术疲劳,技术疲劳通过工作疲劳的中介作用影响工作结果,降低工作满意度和组织承诺、提高离职意愿,将信息技术作为辅助工具的工作者比信息技术从业者的技术疲劳程度更显著。 The rapid developments and wide applications of information technology ( IT ) improve work efficiency, at the same time, techno-stressors might lead employees to discomfort of the psychology and behavior, which are worthy of attention in science and technology management field. Based on the stressor-strainoutcome model, the research presented in this article aims to identify the relationship between techno-cxhaustion and work-exhaustion and how IT-related -exhaustion influences work-related outcomes. The results of an empirical study with 341 employees show that IT usage causes exhaustion because techno-stressors contribute to techno-exhaustion, which in turn influences work-exhaustion significantly. Our results also reveal that work-exhaustion negatively impacts job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. The employees who use IT as a supporting tool for their daily work process rcport higher levels of techno-exhaustion than the employees for whom IT is the core of their work. Overall, our research has extended the extant literatures from three primary perspectives.Firstly, this study has deepened our understanding of the relationship between techno-and work-exhanstion by paying specific attention to their links with work-related outcomes, secondly, this study has explained how techno-stressors impacts employee work-related outcomes throughtechno-and work-exhaustion. Thirdly, this study has shed light on the impact of techno-stressors and techno-exhaustion might be associated with the role of IT in the work.
