A Feasibility Analysis of Space Prevention and Control on Urban Crimes

城市犯罪与城市空间环境的关系一直以来都是犯罪地理学的关注焦点。近年来,越来越多的学者开始从理论、实践、技术等方面探究针对城市犯罪的空间防控策略。这些策略对遏制城市犯罪的泛滥起到了显著的作用,然而也引发了堡垒心理、犯罪转移等问题。但是,我们并不能因为新问题的出现就放弃空间防控策略。对于这些问题,着眼于防卫空间的新思路是一个行之有效的办法。

The relationship between urban crimes and urban space environment has been the focus of criminal geography. Recent years have witnessed space prevention and control strategies on urban crimes conducted by more and more scholars from different perspectives of theory, practice and technology, etc. Those strategies have played a prominent role in curbing rampant urban crimes; meanwhile some problems such as fortress mentality and crime transfer have also emerged. However, we shall not give up space prevention and control strategy due to emergence of new problems. It is an effective approach for us to establish a new train of thought based on space prevention and control.
