后现代主义视域下《传染病屋》的叙述特征

非线性的叙述、黑色幽默及结局的开放性赋予《传染病屋》以典型的后现代主义特征。这些特征对诠释小说主题起到了至关重要的作用,使人类深刻反思后启示录时代背景下理性工具压抑造成的人类关系的异化,过度追求物质财富引发的人类心灵的扭曲,表现出后现代语境下人们唯有回归自然和本真,才能找到净化灵魂、获得救赎的希望,才能克服生命的困惑、丰富人们的精神世界。

The Pesthouse is characterized by non-linear narration, black humor and openness of the end, which are essential in elaborating the novel＇s theme. The postmodern characteristics enable human to reflect deeply the alienation among human relationships,which is caused by the oppression of rational tools and the human＇s spiritual distortion due to the excessive pursuit of material wealth in post-apocalypse era. They demonstrate that in the postmodern environment, only by return to nature and truth, people can purify their souls, get the final spiritual redemption, overcome the living confusion and enrich the spiritual world.
