Filling, reduction and production situation of Johnson Matthey（JM） KATALCO51-7R type methanol catalyst were introduced. The related application data of this type of catalyst in Xinghua Group methanol synthesis set was summarized. The relevant problems and solutions in the process of application of the catalyst were discussed.
