证候是中医认识和治疗疾病的基础与依据。因此中医证候的研究是中医理论和临床研究的核心与关键,一直备受中医广大学者的关注。随着现代研究方法的发展,多元统计方法在中医证候研究中的应用越发普遍。文章旨在简述多元统计方法在中医证候研究中的应用,借此来丰富和强调中医证候的研究意义。

Syndrome is the foundation and basis for the understanding and treatment of disease in traditional Chinese medicine（TCM）. Therefore, the research of TCM syndrome is the core and key point in the TCM theory and clinical research, which has been concerned by the majority of Chinese medicine researchers. Along with the development of modern research methods, the application of multivariate statistical methods in the research of TCM syndrome is more and more popular. This paper is aim to sketch the application of multivariate statistical methods in the study of TCM syndromes, and to enrich and emphasize significance of TCM syndrome research.
