The Work of Health Care during the Red Army's Long March

中国工农红军的万里长征是人类历史上的英雄壮举,在创造这一壮举的过程中,红军医务人员在国民党军队围追堵截、连续作战、自然环境极其恶劣、缺医少药的艰苦条件下,秉承"医者仁心、救死扶伤""一切为了伤病员"的革命人道主义精神,全力救治和安置伤病员,积极开展卫生预防工作,注重培养医疗卫生人才,保障了红军战士的生命健康,增强了革命队伍的战斗力量,为长征的伟大胜利作出了重要贡献。

The Red Army＇s Long March is a heroic undertaking in the human history. During the march, the medical personnel of the Red Army, under the severe conditions of Kuomintang army＇s chasing, abominable nat-ural environment and lack of drugs, exhibited the revolutionary humanitarian spirit of “ retrieving the dying and rescuing the wounded” and “doing everything for the wounded and ill soldiers” ,worked hard to save and em- place the wounded soldiers, actively carried out the work of sanitary prevention, and made efforts in cultivating medical professionals, thus having ensured the life and health of the soldiers of the Red Army, enhanced the bat-tle force of the revolutionary troops,and made a great contribution to the victory of the Long March.
