Kazuo Ishiguro is one of the most prestigious Japanese - bom British writers. In his sixth novel Never Let Me Go Kazuo Ishiguro describes the miserable experience and the underlying identity crisis of cloned humans caused by the abuse of biotechnology , stressing the importance of the reconstruction of the self - identity and getting rid of the traumatic plight for the marginalized group. This thesis tries to analyze the influence of space on cloned humans, especially how Kathy finds her identity and continues pursuing her self from the perspective of spatial criticism, namely, power space, psychological space and social space.
