Yangkou Town,Shouguang,Weifang has been listed among the First Characteristic Towns in Shandong.From the original fishery to the chemical industry to the contemporary 'technology+ green',from being characterized by 'original salt industry' to being characterized by 'green industry',Yangkou,the characteristic town,has experienced its hundred years' vicissitudes.In recent years,based on the leading impact of the advantage of salt resources and maritime fine chemical industry,Yangkou has established gradually the project group of 7 industries including high-end petrochemical industry,maritime fine chemical industry,bio-based new materials,high-end equipment manufacturing,clean energy,ecological wood industry and harbor logistics.Since 2010,Yangkou has constructed two advanced industrial zones on the deserted salt marsh,with dozens of leading enterprises being established and coming into operation.China Shenhua Group has even invested more than 16 billion yuan to have built the large thermal power unit in Yangkou which is of the most advanced technology and of the lowest exhaust emission in the world.
