当代诗中转喻接续性与意象产生的关系

Relation Between Metonymic Contiguity and Image-Creating in Contemporary Poetry

雅克慎曾经在其著名的"语言双极"的论述中,谈到一般人在诗作的诗学探讨上,大都忽视转喻的功能。受到雅克慎如此的感叹与启发,本文拟以转喻的接续性探讨诗意象的产生。本文将探讨时间接续性中词语展延所产生的意象,意象叙述的环炼,空间接续性的意象,时间性与空间性交互活动的意象,随机接续性的意象,语意蔓延所延生的意象。雅克慎说:诗学运用上对于转喻的忽视,呼应了心理学接续失错的现象。本文算是对于雅氏如此感叹的一种尝试性响应。

Inspired by Jakobson＇s remarkable idea about metaphor and metonymy, the two poles that forms the basic linguistic articulation, this paper focuses on the general ignorance of use of metonymy in poetry-writing and poetics. The contiguity aspect of metonymy enriches the poetry and poetics and therefore creates imagery quite different from the similar aspect of metaphor. The contiguity asserts itself with temporal continuation of words and syntactical structure and therefore builds the linkage of images. The metonymic contiguity also results from the juxtaposed lines and adjacent images in contexts, and it also enhances the interaction of temporal and spatial elements of words and images. It imparts the elements of chance and semantic dispersion into image-making. In a way, this paper serves as a response to Jakobson＇s comment that the neglect of metonymy-use is an aphasia corresponding to the contiguity disorder.
