摘要 对 1994年美国大型坝体学会 (USCOLD)尾矿坝分会调查报告中所述的尾矿坝事故进行了评价 ,并将其与USCOLD报道的蓄水坝事件及更近一段时期的尾矿坝事件进行了对比。评价结果表明 :尾矿坝的事故原因是多方面的 ,包括 :漫顶、静态条件下或地震引起的不稳定性、渗漏及内部侵蚀作用和基础条件。结果还表明并没有特定类型的尾矿坝或操作条件更易于引发事故。另外 ,研究结果证实尾矿坝的选址、设计、使用和复垦应该建立在对坝址条件、选矿生产。
