诗歌翻译与“三美”再现管窥——兼评《江雪》《黄鹤楼送孟浩然之广陵》英译

On the Translation of Ancient Chinese Poetry——from the Restricted Perspective of Mr. Xu's Theory

"三美"即意美、音美和形美,是我国著名文学翻译家许渊冲先生针对诗歌翻译提出来的标准。通过对《江雪》《黄鹤楼送孟浩然之广陵》英译不同版本的分析可以看出,翻译诗歌时,不可为了实现原诗的音韵效果而舍弃对诗歌意境的传达,也不可为了传达意境而忽视原诗的"音美",须以"三美"为圭臬,最大限度地传达原作的诗味。

Xu Yuanchong,a well- known Chinese literary translator for poetry translation,came up with the standard of ＂Three Beauties＂in poetry translation,which means beauty in sense,sound and form. Through the analysis of the different versions of Jiang Xue and Guang Ling,it can be seen that in translating poems,the conveyance of poems＇ mood cannot be given up in order to realize the phonological effect of the original poems and vice versa. The best choice is to convey the original poetic taste to the maximum on the basis of ＂Three Beauties＂.
