Through the elaboration of the harmony method and the consumption （severe delay period）, the author clarified the scope of application,the connotation and denotation of consumption （severe delay period）,and laid the theoretical basis for the application of the harmony method in consumption （severe delay period）. Since con- sumption （severe delay period） showed disharmony between the internal organs,yin and yang,qi and blood, so better clinical results could be achieved by harmony method.
