From Inches Toward Miles:the Plight and Trend of China-Indian Relations Under the Background of "the Belt and the Road"

"一带一路"战略为中印两国发展带来了新的机遇和挑战,深入研究"一带一路"战略背景下中印关系发展,对促进两国关系"从英寸到英里"的迈进及印度的积极参与都具有重要意义。中国"一带一路"战略有望与印度的战略对接并为两国带来现实可观的经济利益,但由于历史的和现实的多重因素阻碍,中印双方依然面临困境,因此,要从多角度分析中印关系,努力构建"一带一路"战略背景下双方的利益均衡。

＂the Belt and the Road＂strategy has brought new opportunities and challenges for development between China and India. A further study about the development of China-Indian relations has the important meaning for promoting the relations between the two countries ＂Inches toward Miles＂ and the active participation of India. China＇ s strategy of ＂the Belt and the Road＂ is expected to dock with the India＇ s strategy so that it can bring real and considerable economic benefits for the two countries. However,because of the multiple factors from history and reality, the relation between China and India still faces difficulties. Therefore,it is necessary to make a further analysis about China-Indian relations from the multiple perspectives for building the benefit balance of both parties under the background of ＂the Belt and the Road＂.
