通过对1-16届劳伦斯世界体育奖的分析,发现:获奖最多的大洲是欧洲,其次是北美洲;获奖最多的国家是美国,其次是英国;获奖最多的体育项目是网球与田径,其次是足球;在最佳男女运动员奖项中,网球与田径是获奖次数最多的项目,而在最佳团体奖项中足球获奖次数最多。劳伦斯世界体育奖对于我国体育强国建设的启示主要有:大力发展职业体育,提高体育强国核心竞争力;强化竞技精神教育,引领社会对体育本质的追求;努力实现体育的社会责任,助推公益性事业开展。

The paper analyses the 16 th Laurence＇s World Sports Prize.Europe has won the most prizes in 16Laurence＇s World Sports Prize,the North America was the next;U.S.has won the most prizes and U.K.was the next;the most prizes were won in the tennis and track and field,football was the next;in the best man and woman sports prizes,tennis and track and field had the most prizes while in the best team sports prizes,football had the most prizes.The enlightenment of Laurence＇s World Sports Prize is to develop the professional sport to enhance the core competitive ability of the sports power,to strengthen the competitive sports spirit and lead the social pursuit of the sports nature and realize the the social responsibility of sport.
