匡互生著述考——兼论其文集的整理

Textual Research and Some Thoughts on Kuang Husheng's Works

匡互生为新文化运动健将、现代著名教育家,其在立达学园办学事迹广有声誉,以至世人认为其一生"立功"远胜"立言",故学界对其著述情况一向较少关注。然则文章通过匡互生笔名线索,系统梳理其著述情况,得其文章20余篇、书札70余件。其传世作品数量远超过去学界的一般认知。今年正值匡互生诞辰125周年,为保存文献计,有必要整理出一部资料详实可靠的《匡互生文集》,以便于研究者使用,并为湖湘文化留下一份可贵的精神遗产。

Kuang Husheng was an exponent of the“new culture movement”, and also a renowned educationist in the early twentieth century. He was well-known for his achievement of running Lida school, which makes him an educationist more than a writer in many people’s mind. Therefore, little at-tention has been paid on his works. However, by the clues of his pseudonym, it has been found that Kuang Husheng wrote more than 20 articles and more than 70 letters. The number of his masterpieces is far beyond academics recognition in the past. This year is the 125th anniversary of Kuang Husheng’ birth. For the preservation of his works, it is necessary to compile Kuang Husheng Anthology by collecting the detailed and reliable information, which will be helpful to researchers as a precious spiritual heritage to Huxiang culture.
