摘要
以中英文主流媒体经济报道中出现的概念隐喻和隐喻表达构成文章的经济隐喻语料库,为便于分析,仅提取出现频率较高的"经济是人""经济是战争"两个概念隐喻进行对比分析。研究结果表明:(1)中英文经济报道中概念隐喻具有极大的相似性;(2)虽然隐喻表达略有差异,但是二者隐喻映射的过程基本一致;(3)概念隐喻在经济报道文本中具有跨文化性主要是由于人类体验的共性、经济的全球化以及新闻文体自身的特质所致;(4)这样的研究对于商务英语教学以及跨文化商务交际具有一定的积极意义。
The authors collect the conceptual metaphors and metaphorical expressions in the mainstream eco- nomic newspapers and magazines, both in English and Chinese, and build up a corpus of economic metaphors. For this paper, the top two conceptual metaphors in terms of occurrences, "ECONOMY IS HUMAN" and "ECONOMY IS A WAR", are selected for the comparative study. The findings are : ( 1 ) there is a great similarity between the conceptual metaphors in Chinese and English economic reports; (2) the Chinese and English metaphorical expres- sions differ from each other to some degree, but the mapping processes are the same; (3) the reasons for the cross culturality of conceptual metaphors in the economic reports are the universality of human experiences, the globaliza- tion of economy and the nature of news genre; (4) the research is of great value for teaching Business English and intercultural business communication.
