川南四市的产业发展各有优势和劣势,且同构化发展趋势明显。川南经济要取得更好的发展,四市应找准自身在川南城市群中的位置,利用比较优势和特色去发展产业和经济,并且通过合理分工、互补和协作,共同实现错位发展。川南四市各市的产业可考虑错位发展:在有比较优势的产业上,各市结合资源和优势去做大做强;对其他城市的优势产业,积极搞好承接和配套;对有共同优势的产业,加强协作、互惠共赢,实现共同发展。

The four cities in south Sichuan have their own advantages and disadvantages in industrial devel- opment, together with obvious isomorphism in developing trend. For further economic development, the four cities should seek for befitting self - positioning in urban agglomeration of south Sichuan, so as to use their regional advantages and characteristics to improve the industries and economy. The four cities are supposed to apply a reasonable division of labor, as well as to resort to the complementarity and collaboration for dislo- cation development. They ought to consider the followings： strengthening their own industries with local ad- vantages, cooperating actively on other cities＇ dominant industries, and enhancing collaboration on the com- mon competitive industries for reciprocity and co -development.
