Analysis of the Online Building of Chinese Proverb Meaning Based on the Theory of Conceptual Integration

汉语谚语作为一种言简义深、具有鲜明的民族色彩和地方色彩的语言现象备受学界关注。Fauconnier等提出的概念整合理论将来自不同认知域的框架组合,构成一个概念整合网络,揭示言语意义在线构建背后的认知冰山。运用该理论,分糅合型整合、截搭型整合两大类型对汉语谚语的意义在线构建过程进行分析,分析表明该理论能够对汉语谚语意义的在线构建进行很好的阐释。

Chinese proverbs, as a kind of language phenomenon deep meanings and distinctive national and local color, has been focused on by the academic circle. Fauconnier and others put forward the conceptual integration theory and establish a framework combination from the different cognitive domain to form a conceptual integration network which shows the cognitive iceberg of language meaning behind online building. The paper uses this theory to analyze the process of Chinese proverbs online building. The analysis shows that the theory can give a good explanation of the proverb meaning.
