A Study on the Movie ＇Twelve Years a Slave＇ from the perspective of Christian Redemption

电影《为奴十二年》根据真实故事改编，讲述了一个真实的自由人被诱骗卖为黑奴，在奴隶主庄园工作十二年，又重获自由的故事。在奴隶制艰难的生存状况下，主人公因着对自由、公义、真理的坚定信仰，在苦难中顺服、带着盼望最终得到成功救赎、重返自由。这种平凡黑奴得救的个例深深地传达着基督教的“救赎”观念——人人也都可以成为一个被救赎者和对他人的救赎者。

The movie ＂Twelve Years a Slave＂ is adapted from a true story. It gives an account of a free man who is lured into slavery. He works in the slave owner＇ s manor for twelve years, and who finally regains his freedom. Under the harsh living condition of slavery, the protagonist, with a strong belief in freedom, right- eousness and truth, remains obedient in tribulations, finally gets redeemed as he hopes and regains his freedom. This case transmits the Christian concept of ＂redemption＂, and tells us that every one can redeem and be re- deemed.
