Post-editing,a process of editing and revising the original outputs of machine translation according to the purpose of the task,has already developed into an emerging profession in global language services industry. Current post-editing research both at home and abroad centers on the introduction of post-editing,evaluation of aspects of post-editing,identification of machine translation errors and post-editing tools,post-editing from an industrial perspective,post-editing competence and the training of post-editors etc. The development trends of post-editing research include studies on integrated translation and post-editing environment,specific machine translation systems,training of professional post-editors,further collaboration between relevant institutions and translation industry as a whole.
