A Study on Translation of Foreign Literature via Internet in the 21st Century

新世纪以来互联网技术的飞速发展对外国文学翻译事业的最大影响莫过于外国文学网络翻译的繁荣。外国文学网络翻译以网络大众为翻译主体,以网站、贴吧、论坛、博客等为平台,利用先进的网络翻译技术和工具以及团队协作的翻译模式,通过建构翻译社区等规模不等的翻译组织开展翻译活动,成为我国纸媒外国文学翻译的有力补充。本文在介绍新世纪外国文学网络翻译多样化平台的基础上,探讨基于网络平台的外国文学翻译特点及其不足,以期抛砖引玉,探索纸媒和网络外国文学翻译整合发展的路径。

One of the greatest impacts exerted by the rapid development of Internet technology upon literary translation in the 21^st century in China is perhaps the prosperity of translation of foreign literature via internet, which, with online communities as its translation subjects and based on such platforms as websites, post bars, forums and blogs, injects vigor and vitality to the translation of foreign literature as a whole by adopting advanced online translation technology and translation model based on teamwork, and by building translation communities of various sizes. This paper introduces diverse platforms of online trans- lation of foreign literature, and then expounds the characteristics and deficiencies of the translation of foreign literature via in- ternet, in the hope of starting a discussion on the practical paths of integration between translation of foreign literature via print media and that via internet.
