摘要
本文研究了光纤涂覆层对高频CO2激光刻写的长周期光纤光栅的温度传感特性的影响,发现在50-100℃温度范围内,带涂覆层的长周期光纤光栅的温度灵敏度跟剥去涂覆层刻写的长周期光纤光栅的温度灵敏度一样,均可以达到100pm/℃。实验表明:光纤涂覆层对长周期光纤光栅的温度传感特性没有显著影响,但带涂覆层的长周期光纤光栅以其机械强度的优势更适合用在低温测量中。
The effects of coating to the temperature sensing characteristics of long-period fiber gratings written by high-frequency CO2 laser pulses were investigated. We found that the temperature sensitivity of coated long-period fiber gratings inscribed was equivalent to that of uncoated long-period fiber gratings in the temperature range of 50 to 100℃. And the temperature sensitivity could reach 100pm/℃. These results indicated that the coating had not significant effects to the temperature sensing characteristics of long-period fiber gratings written by high-frequency CO2 laser pulses. Furthermore, due to its advantages on mechanical strength, coated long-period fiber gratings would be more suitable for application of low temperature sensing measurement.
