特奏名是宋初出现的一种科举恩科制度,在北宋真宗时期基本形成定制,北宋太祖至宋真宗时期正是科举制度不断向制度化、体系化发展时期,在此期间一些偶然人为因素对科举取仕影响日渐变小,被制度化因素逐步取代,复试向特奏名转变即为例证。

Tezouming was a grace imperial examination system formed in the early Song dynasty, and grew into a stable system during Songzhenzong period. During the period of Songtaizu and Songzhenzong, when the imperial examination system developed to systemization and institutionalization, accidental human factors took less effect on the exam result and were gradually replaced by institutionalized factors. Transition to Tezouming in a retest was an example of it.
