在图纸图像处理过程中，运用了数学形态学对图像进行预处理，达到了消除噪声，填补空穴，连接断口的目的，并可从线结构中分离出厚区域。

In this article a graph searching method is proposed to extract each connecting region on the image of engineering drawing, and seperating the drawing into three elementcontours and connected witnesses, dimension lines,and symbols. Symbols and contours are distinguished from the witnesses by using depthfiror searching method and are fitted with lines and arcs in order to obtaine the shape of the part. To understand the drawing and the base lines,contours and wittnesses,and between two neighbor contours are determined by perpendicular degree which is defined in the disseration.
