Evaluating Elastic Modulus of Ceramic Coatings on Tube Materials by Relative Split Ring Method

摘要 提出一种基于缺口环法和相对法的新方法用于解决管材涂层的弹性模量评价,探讨了2种涂层模式。缺口环法为管材提供了一套有效的评价系统;相对法则用于建立有涂层和无涂层缺口环试件弹性模量之间的关系。结果表明,利用单侧涂层模式测得的CVD-SiC涂层弹性模量(外侧:403.82 GPa,内侧:400.35 GPa)与相关数据十分接近。由于双侧涂层的非对称性问题,校正后的计算公式得到的CVD-SiC涂层弹性模量也与单侧涂层的数据吻合,证明了相对缺口环法用于评价管材涂层弹性模量的真实性与可靠性。 A novel method based on the split ring method and the relative method was proposed to solve the problem of evaluating elastic modulus of coatings, with two common coating patterns discussed. Notably, the split ring method was used to provide an available evaluation model for the tubes, while the relative method was applied to establish the relationship of the modulus between the coated and the uncoated split ring specimens. The experimental results show that the Young's modulus of CVD-SiC coatings calculated by single-coating pattern (outer side: 403.82 GPa, inner side: 400.35 GPa) was quite close to the related data. Due to the unsymmetrical features of double-side coatings, the results of CVD-SiC coatings via the calibrated equations also accorded well with those of single-coating patterns. It demonstrated the validity and reliability of the relative split ring method to evaluate the elastic modulus of coatings on tube materials.
