This paper is intended to describe the design characteristics of the medical section cabins by investigating three amphibious assault/landing ships of the United States Navy and Australia Navy .Considering the realities in medical services of PLA Navy , we have drawn the following conclusions：the medical armamentarium is determined by the strategic location of each ship , design centers on clinical care , the capability and capacity of medical services are flexible and ex-tendable on ships of this level .
